it's been a while

So, it's been a while since I've written anything on this thing known as xanga.  I feel like I should right something, especially since I've just seen many of my childhood friends.  I feel like I should give them some insight on what I think their pros or cons are....I don't know if that sentence made any sense...but oh well.  Hahah, time to get serious.  I would like to reiterate though...that my comments are not trying to break you guys down...rather..it's just to give you some insight on what I see.  I won't write who each one is for..but I would expect you to be able to tell.

1)  You have so much potential! You're talented in both dancing and you are a smart guy!  You have good intentions and you are not a bad person.  However, actions speak louder than words and you know that.  You yourself know that the way you are living right now, no good thing can come out of it.  There is no direction and no drive.  I can't tell you how to fix it or what to do.  I'm pretty sure that if I told you what to do, you won't want to do it anyway.  But, I just want you to think about it...know that the key is in your brain!  Remember, "think before you act" and "actions speak louder than words"

2)  You are beautiful, pretty, and loved by many.  However, you count on your emotions more than the facts.  Remember, in life, fact, faith, and experience walk on a very slender bridge.  Fact always has to lead first, faith follows it, and experience follows last.  If the order is mixed up, that means, if you follow experience or faith more than fact, you will fall off the bridge.  Hence, my word to you is to "trust the facts."  Don't trust your old experiences more than the solid facts because in the end, the facts are all that matter.

3)  You have a bright young future headed before.  You have many people who want to help you along your journey.  However, you have put independence before help.  You like to count on yourself and if someone offers you help, you look at that as if they view you as weak.  Remember, that everyone needs everyone.  There is not a successful person on this earth that did it on their own.  Also, have a patience.  Especially toward your family, because they will be the ones that will be there in the end to back you up.  "3 fold cord is much harder to break"

danger of concepts

Recently, I realized that something that this world is really starting to bug me..haha, I was watching tyra..yes..tyra..because I was trying to do something mindless for a while. But anyways, it was a show about racism and discrimination. So, I was watching it, and I watched a african american woman tell an arabian woman that "she needed to go get her brothers to protect her because her brothers all have guns and bombs." And then, the african american woman complained about discrimination toward the black race....wait...WHAT? Lo and behold, the arabian woman got very angry and said "how dare you, you need to go get educated." And..the black woman got angry....WHAT? Why would she get angry?? She practically called the arabian woman a terrorist...Now, I'm not just singling out one person or race or whatever..but I really had to do a double take on that...

Did she just discriminate against an arabian woman and then complained about being discriminated against? Wow..I wonder if she even knew she was doing that?

Which now brings me to my epiphany. I, myself, has a lot of concepts as well...sometimes, subconciously. And when I think back about it, I really wondered WHY? Why did I just think like that? Do I have any basis for thinking about things like that? Same thing in my Bible life. Why do I think that Jesus is suppose to be a good looking man? Is that what the Bible said? (actually Jesus was physically unattractive, read Isaiah). I started to realize how damaging concepts can be. Especially if we don't think about them, or wonder why we think like the way we do...

my oath

I do solemnly swear by that which I hold most sacred:

That I will be loyal to the profession of medicine and just and generous to its members

That I will lead my life and practice my art in uprightness and honor

That into whatsoever house I shall enter, it shall be for the good of the sick to the utmost of my power, I holding myself aloof from wrong, from corruption, from the tempting of others to vice.

That I will exercise my art solely for the cure of my patients, and will give no drug, perform no operation, for a criminal purpose even if solicited, far less suggest it;

That whatsoever I shall see or hear of the lives of men which is not fitting to be spoken, I will keep inviolably secret

These things do I promise, and in proportion as I am faithful to this oath, may happiness and good repute be ever mine - the opposite if I shall be forsworn.

This is the oath I took a few nights ago at my white coat ceremony.  I can't believe medical school is starting so soon!

the rest of the way

Alrighty, I am now back in Taiwan..so the keyboards are at least back to normal!  So, no more of them funny typing stuff!  Where was I....oh yeah, back to Austria!

So, I have to austria is my favorite country of the trip.  Amazing sites, very friendly people (for the most part) and ICE CREAM!!  Austrain ice cream is like....explosion in the mouth.

We started off in innsbruck...where we visited the water facility (did you know their water is so clean that during sugery, they use tap water???!) We visited a few of their companies (it was amazing, everything was automatic!)  We went mountain climbing, hiking, rowing a boat in a big ole lake.  We also listened to their free music festivals (which is awesome by the way).  We ate out in the open with the rest of the people and watched the sun set at like 9:00 p.m.  Amazing weather...all in all, my favorite town! 99/100!!!

Next, we hit salzburg...mozart's home.  It was nice, a little pricey..but really nice!  Friendly people and just awesome stuff.  We lived at an amazing little bed and breakfast...SOO tight!  the view when you just wake up..it's like..flowers and moutains and all that jazz....def. a place to go for a honeymoon or something.  My score for salzburg..95/100.

Almost done..we hit vienna!  Yes, def. some sites to see there...many beautiful cathedrals and the palace...or summer palace...shoot..was a site to see!  Especially when the sun was setting..takes your breath away!  Vienna is a big city though..so a little crowded..more drunk people...a little dirtier...but the sites make it worth it!  Vienna is 96/100.

Finally, we stopped a Munich for a day.  It was nice, people were overall friendly.  Not as much as austria but they were nice.  Not many places of shade though so it was hot as an oven!  But overall, it was nice!  For Munich 90/100.

So, that is a brief overview of our trip!  It was amazing..pricey, but def. well worth it!  It's great to soak in the other cultures and really be open-minded..not stupid..but open-minded!  It is a different world over there!  So if anyone ever has a chance to go backpacking there...def! do it!!!!

replace the z with the y and vice versa

Ok, so it's been forever since I've written anything...so I am going to write...but, because I am in austria and their keyboard switches the z with the y, I will keep that in my message, so...good luck reading it! (oh, and the ' is also harder to type, so I'll leave that out too)

so, lets start with paris...it is an amaying place!!  sooo beautiful with so manz things to see!  If anzone is ever thinking of going to Europe, zou have to go to Paris!!  Although, I have to saz, the french are kind of stuck up...some of them are at least, but then again, so are some americans...so...what can zou do, right?  But anzwazs...France, out of a possible 100, I give them a 90.

Now, to London...beautiful citz as well!  Love Wimbledon and all the people are verz polite...BUT..it costs an arm and a leg to do anzthing over there....but, of course the historz and all that jayy...defineltz a plus.  So, for london, I give it a 88 out of 100.

Now, down to Nice....beautiful beaches!!  absolutelz awesome!  But, other than that...not too much stuff to see.  But the people are nicer than paris.  However, no historz, no monuments..so, for Nice, I give it an 85 out of 100.

Now, Rome...I have to saz...the historz in Rome is AMAYING...although, I did not get to plaz much in rome because of uncontrollable circumstances...but...I will def. be back.  The people there are a little crayier..probablz because of the world cup...but I have to saz, Rome is a nice nice place.  So, for those who just want to be wowed bz historz and partz till the morning..rome is place to be.  but since I am not a partz animal..I will give it...90 out of 100.  P.S. watch out for theives there..there are A LOT!

Now, on to Venice, mz favorite place in Italz...awesome sites, not too expensive, nice people...slamming place!  For sure a place to go!!  I give it 92 out of 100!

Now, there is still austria and germanz left..I will leave those for next blog...but EUROPE IS AWESOME!!!!
